Prayer Guide
Thank you for committing to take this time of prayer. This guide is a tool to help if you could use some guidance in what to pray for.
Take time to worship and honor God:
Almighty God, may we honor You.
You are our living Hope - the One who is always there when all else feels lost
You are the great I AM - the One who is beyond our understanding, yet stoops to make yourself
known
You are Jehovah Jireh - the God who will provide
You are King of kings - nothing in heaven or on earth or under the earth is above You
You are Lamb who was slain for my sin
You are the Light of the world who brightens up the darkest corners.
You are the Lion of Judah who does not bow down to Your enemies
We bow before You with hearts aware of the Light you bring to our dark world. We see the
contrast between the Lion and the Lamb, which allows us to glimpse that which we can not fully
comprehend. May we crown You as our King today and every day.
If needed, take time to make sure your heart is right with God.
Pray for our pastors and their families
-Reed, Audrey and kids
-Shelby, Garrett and baby
Pray for our Men’s and Ladies Ministries
Ladies Conference Feb. 6-7, 2026 and Men’s Retreat Feb 20-22
-For every detail to be planned by God in such a way that people leave fortified in their faith, inspired with vision, filled with strength, energy, and courage, healed of spiritual, emotional, relational, mental, and physical wounds and strongholds. For needed finances and child care
-For ongoing growth in relationships with God, self, and others
-For the “what now” after these events
-For God to fill us with the desire to follow Him in whatever He calls us to do
-For doubts and “imposter syndrome” to be dissolved away in the face of His love and strength to follow HIs call
Pray for our Kids Ministry
-For Shelby and the volunteers as she approaches her maternity leave, that ministry will continue without a hitch and Shelby can relax and enjoy her new baby
-For our kids to gain strong foundations not only in their knowledge of the Bible, but in their experiential knowledge of Jesus in their lives
-For safety in our Kids area
-For our littles to feel secure when away from their parents
-For purity for our kids in a culture where that is difficult
Pray for our Mamas and Minis
-Raising kids is an exhausting endeavor that takes wisdom beyond our own, no matter how much both parents are involved. As moms we often feel like we are failing in one area or another as mom or wife. Pray that Mamas and Minis can be a group of women who support each other in walking together during this season of life.
-For moms to be able to find the time to meet together
-For moms to see the value of this group - and that it really will be of value
-For vision for the moms who don’t yet see what it can be for them
Pray for our Hospitality Team
-For more people to volunteer who genuinely like greeting people and making them feel like their story matters from their very first moment
-That the team will continue to be instrumental in people feeling like Story is extended family.
Pray for our Outreach Team
-That the team may help, encourage, and support us as we seek to walk in whatever calling has given us to help love the world around us well.
-For wisdom for Justin and Nicole as they seek to provide baby steps for those of us who are afraid to reach out to those around us
-For people to gain confidence in their ability to love others to Jesus through “reaching out”
-For us to connect our talents, gifts, and desires as individuals and as a church to those who have needs and meet them well.
Pray for our Prayer Team
-To hear the Holy Spirit as we pray with individuals and when we pray on our own
-For those who have a call to intercede for others (prayer warriors) to pray faithfully over the needs of Story Church whether praying individually or corporately
-To cast vision for the Story Church family that will encourage their private prayer lives
-To support the Story Church family in growing in their prayer life
-For God to cast out the fear that surrounds so many in regards to prayer - especially around praying out loud
Pray for our Worship Team
-That God would bring people to Story to continue to build the team
-For the physical health of the team members
-That as Audrey plans the services the Holy Spirit would guide her in a direction that will lead people to worship God more fully
Pray for unity in the church
Pray for families that have been hit hard with physical illness and injury, with financial issues, with mental, emotional, and relational issues. Pray for God to show up and to be real in situations and that people will put their trust in Him.
Pray by name for Story family members (those that you know the names of)
