Prayer Guide
During and after the move-in to our new facility:
-That we will remain aware of just how BIG a gift this is from God and from the Gateway congregation and we would make sure they know we are grateful to God and to them.
-That each member of Gateway would be led to a place that is perfect for them - at Story or elsewhere.
-That they will look back and praise God for new beginnings He has opened up for them. That their excitement over Jesus will be renewed and rekindled.
-That the glory and presence of God would fill the facilities wherever we are.
-That His presence will be the reason people flock to Story.
-That the Holy Spirit would be the reason we grow spiritually and numerically. It’s what makes Story who we are.
-That as people check out Story that we would welcome them well and help them feel like part of our family.
-For vision of how the facility might be used beyond Sunday morning.
-For relationships to be built and nurtured throughout the last week of set up and tear down, during the continuing remodeling process, and afterward as new ways to serve open up.
-For us each to find a purpose that connects us to each other and to the church body as a whole.
-For God to call us to be prayer warriors.
-That the work God has called Story to do will not be neglected because of the extra work of remodeling and relocating.
During the remodel and moving-in process:
-For protection and safety of our skilled workers in all areas – (architectural, legal, electrical, plumbing, drywall, flooring,
painting)
-For the finances needed to complete the remodel well.
-For unity in decision making to remain intact and each of us to accept decisions once they are made.
After the process and ongoing:
-For our Kids Ministry to feel warm, welcoming, and nurturing.
-That we would be unified as a body.
-Many from the surrounding neighborhood will be excited to check out Story.
-For salvation of new believers.
-That people who have been burned by church in the past will find a place they feel safe, to once again, join together to worship and grow.
-That we continue to remember the values of Story Church and hold them up.
-That we remain in awe of what God has done and is doing.
-That as excited as we are about this next chapter in Story we will not become complacent in following God’s mission for us or feel like we have made it.
-That we remain grateful and rejoice not in the new facility, but in the God who provided it all.
